So Many Dishes All About Us...

Hi! Thanks for stopping by our store So Many Dishes!

My name is Warren and along with my wife Gigi we share a passion for seeking out dinnerware.  Whether it is Wedgwood or Corelle we love the patterns and the history but more importantly we LOVE replacing pieces of china or crystal that belonged to family members and has a special place in your heart.  The holidays aren’t the only time you reminisce about days gone by, every time you sit down with your family to eat a meal if it is on china that belonged to a relative or if it is a new tradition you are starting, it will always remind you of family gatherings.

We love to find replacement dinnerware for you!

This started out as a hobby for both of us.  In 2003 I had to work a local attraction at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.  Gigi took our youngest daughter to garage sales with her that Saturday morning.  They came home with boxes of dishes. Different patterns and manufactures they even had crystal and vintage glassware in the mix.  I asked “what are you going to do with all of those dishes?”  She said “sell them on ebay.”  Well, sell them we did and we continued to search for dinnerware. In the beginning we sold everything from clothes to widgets but we were both somehow drawn to the beauty of porcelain, pottery and glass.

Six months later, we got home and our youngest daughter had moved her TV and stereo into her closet which was also attached to her bath.  She was lying on the bathroom floor watching the TV she had moved into the closet. That same night our middle and oldest daughters called us to se how the Plate Palace was doing. Funny to them but serious for us!  That is when we knew it was time for a new direction!

A storage facility was first on the list and so was opening a store.  Gigi quit her job as a paralegal to do this full time and we have never looked back.   The storage facility was easy, naming the store was not. I went to bed one night and woke up to find Gigi had opened an ebay store. “What did you name it I asked”?   She replied “The most appropriate thing I could think of, So Many Dishes.” Indeed we do have so many dishes! I don’t think we were able to walk without running into a crate or stepping on a bowl for 6 months!

Now things are much more organized but we have never left the premise that we started this business on.

Always offer quality dinnerware replacements at a FAIR price.

NEVER pad shipping and NEVER charge for wrapping supplies.

The USPS supplies boxes and it they don’t have the size we need a grocery store or discount store somewhere is throwing one out!

We try to offer the best value for dollars spent on replacement china, crystal and glass!

Again, we thank you so much

Warren and Gigi Anderson
